Open Monuments also returns to Carbonia thanks to the participation of the Municipality of Carbonia in one of the main Italian events dedicated to the promotion and valorisation of the historical and cultural heritage.

An opportunity to rediscover the identity of the city, tell its history, preserve its memory and share it with the community and with those who choose to visit it. For the 2026 edition, scheduled for 23 and 24 May, the Department of Culture and the Department of Public Education have already started the organizational process involving city associations and schools, protagonists of a work that places knowledge, participation and a sense of belonging at the centre.

Carbonia is thus preparing to welcome citizens and visitors to its symbolic places, transforming them into a collective experience of discovery and sharing.
