Great Serbariu Mine: EUROPEAN MINING ROUTES DAY 2026

A journey through history, nature and mining culture. Saturday 9 May 2026, live a unique experience in the heart of Sulcis Iglesiente by participating in the European Mining Routes Day at the Grande Mine of Serbariu. A special event that combines excursion, archeology and industrial memory, accompanying you along a fascinating journey: from the Monte Sirai Archaeological Park to the historic Serbariu mine.

🌿 An experience for everyone: an easy excursion of about 6 km, immersed in nature and history, among Phoenician-Punic testimonies and industrial archaeology.

🕘 Program of the day: the day begins with the registration of the participants and the departure of the guided excursion, and then continues with cultural activities in the afternoon:

presentation of the European Federation of Mining Routes
screening of the documentary “Voices from the Mine”
photographic exhibition “Men and Women of Mining”
