Cinema under the stars in Carbonia: Stars in the Well – absolute preview at the Mirastelle Arena in Carbonia

An evening of outdoor cinema, memory and story of the territory in the heart of Carbonia. On Monday 6 July 2026, at 9.30 pm, the Mirastelle Arena of the Teatro Centrale, in Piazza Roma, will host the absolute preview of “Stelle nel Pozzo”, the new film by director Paolo Carboni.
Set in Carbonia at the end of the 1980s, the short takes inspiration from the story of Gisella Orrù and brings to the screen an intense and delicate page of the city’s history. Through the experiences of the two protagonists, the film tells the real living conditions, vulnerability, friendships and desires to escape of very young teenagers in post-industrial Carbonia.

A world that has so far been little told by cinema, which finds in “Stars in the Well” a profound narrative, capable of intertwining memory, identity and social gaze.
At the end of the screening, a meeting with director Paolo Carboni will follow, a precious opportunity to delve deeper into the creative path of the film, the link with Carbonia and the themes addressed by the work.
