SUMMARY:3 vs 3 Overtime Basketball Tournament - Miners
DESCRIPTION:From 13 to 20 July 2025\, from 5.30pm onwards\, Piazza Roma is transformed into an urban playground for the “Overtime 3 vs 3 – Miners”: a week of street-style basketball under a single basket\, with non-stop games until the night finals.\nSixteen teams will compete in quick “first to 21” competitions on a FIBA ​​3×3 regulation field\, surrounded by DJ sets\, three-point shooting contests\, prizes for the MVP and refreshment stands. In addition to the trophies\, sports vouchers and Miners-branded gadgets are up for grabs. Entrance is free: spectators and families will be able to sit in the stands set up around the field and experience the streetball atmosphere of Sulcis in the heart of Carbonia\, between lights\, music and bounces on the stone. \nThe event\, belonging to the FISB circuit and sponsored by the Municipality of Carbonia\, includes the following categories: \n– MINIBASKET M&F (born in 2014 and later)\n– UNDER M&F (born in 2012 and 2013)\n– YOUNG M (born 2010\, 2011)\n– NEXTGEN M (born 2007\, 2008\, 2009)\n– ⁠ Open (non-members and over 45)\n– PRO M (adults\, born after 2010) \n——————————— \nN.B. The tournament will last all week\, but each team will only be involved for a maximum of two days: one day dedicated to the qualifiers and a second day dedicated to the final stages of their category. This will also allow those who live outside Carbonia to reduce travel as much as possible.

DESCRIPTION:On Sunday morning\, starting from 8:30\, Piazza Ciusa will be transformed into the headquarters of the twenty-ninth edition of HD Vanguard Day: an open-air gathering dedicated to enthusiasts of motorcycles and the bike world of Sulcis. \nThe shiny chrome and powerful engines will be the absolute protagonists of a day that combines exhibitions of vintage and special models\, guided test rides towards the Sulcis hills\, rock music and accessories. There will also be a “bike-show” corner with awards for the most original creations\, a charity raffle in favor of a local association and a food area with grills lit from the early hours of lunch.\nThe 29th HD Vanguard Day thus confirms its vocation as a meeting point for bikers\, curious people and families\, making Piazza Ciusa – the rationalist heart of Carbonia – an open-air stage of engine roars\, friendship and freedom on two wheels.

DESCRIPTION:Friday 11 July 2025\, the “Notti a Monte Sirai” festival welcomes the violinist Anna Tifu and the pianist-composer Romeo Scaccia to the open-air theater of the archaeological area – suspended between the Phoenician-Punic profiles and a sky full of stars – starting at 9.30pm.\nThe program intertwines tango\, jazz and classical: from Vitali’s Chaconne to Piazzolla’s pages\, passing through contemporary homages to Ezio Bosso\, in a wordless dialogue that enhances virtuosity and improvisation\, amplified by the natural acoustics of the cavea carved into the rock.\nThe experience is made unique by the setting: the audience sits on the steps overlooking the Gulf of Sulcis\, surrounded by illuminated nuraghi and the scent of Mediterranean scrub\, while the notes slide past the Phoenician ruins to the sea. An invitation to experience music as a bridge between the millennial past and contemporary sensitivity on one of the most evocative nights of the Sardinian summer.

DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday 10 July 2025\, at 10pm\, the Mine Summer Festival brings its energy to the heart of Carbonia: the amphitheater in Piazza Marmilla will become an open-air Latin dance floor with the overwhelming “Bebecita Latin Show”. \nDJs\, dancers and performers will take to the stage guided by the format that is setting the island’s beach clubs on fire: a continuous flow of reggaeton\, urban and remixed trap hits\, accompanied by fluorescent choreographies\, visuals and moments of animation that transform the audience into part of the show.\nThe setting is the circular amphitheater of Piazza Marmilla: stone steps close to the greenery\, perfect for enjoying the show under the stars of Sulcis with the natural acoustics of the auditorium. In recent years the square has established itself as the city’s new summer hub\, capable of hosting orchestras\, festivals and crowded dance evenings.
