SUMMARY:Lyric Theater in Carbonia: the "Cavalleria rusticana" of the Lyric Theater of Cagliari protagonist at the Amphitheater of Piazza Marmilla
DESCRIPTION:Carbonia’s cultural summer is enriched with an event of extraordinary prestige with the arrival of “Cavalleria rusticana”\, one of the most famous and loved masterpieces of the Italian opera repertoire. The show will be staged on 18 July at the Amphitheater in Piazza Marmilla\, as part of the Rotte Sonore Summer festival\, bringing a high-level production signed by the Teatro Lirico of Cagliari to the heart of the city. \nThe event represents an important result for Carbonia and for its cultural growth path\, thanks to the collaboration started in recent months between the Mayor Pietro Morittu\, the Councilor for Culture Giorgia Meli\, the Superintendent of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari Andrea Cigni and the Artistic Secretary Lorenzo Del Pecchia. The initiative is part of a program supported by the Ministry of Culture\, the Autonomous Region of Sardinia and the Sardinia Foundation\, confirming the desire to bring great artistic productions even outside the traditional theater circuits. \n \nThe protagonists of the evening will be the Orchestra and Choir of the Teatro Lirico of Cagliari\, directed by maestro Matteo Beltrami\, with the preparation of the choir entrusted to maestro Giovanni Andreoli and the staging curated by Luca Baracchini. The performance of “Cavalleria rusticana”\, Pietro Mascagni’s masterpiece\, will offer the public the opportunity to experience one of the most intense and engaging works of the Italian opera tradition in a suggestive outdoor setting. \nThe Piazza Marmilla Amphitheater will thus become the stage for an event destined to enrich the city’s summer season\, enhancing Carbonia as a cultural hub capable of hosting productions of regional and national importance.
